To apply for membership send us an email saying which membership you are applying for along with a copy of your CV and, at the same time, pay your subscription.

Why join?

Membership to the Guild grants users the ability to connect with other members of the Guild, to receive representation support and advocacy from the Guild should they experience harassment, discrimination or abuse in their Place of Worship if it is related to their sexuality, and free signposting to legal and advice services. As well as being a social guild, where members can attend and host social events, members are encouraged to share their skills and experiences in the safe and supportive environment the Guild provides. The Guild regularly produces a newsletter. Once joined, members will receive a free copy of the Lavender Post Magazine, our Guild's in-house newsletter and unless otherwise stated, their names and the level of their award will be added to the Register of Fellows which is included with each edition. 

How do I join?

To apply for membership send us an email saying which membership you are applying for along with a copy of your CV and, at the same time, pay your subscription.
 
The minimum age is 18, It is rare for anyone to be refused entry; all that's left is for us to determine your level of membership (Honorary Fellow, Fellow, Associate Fellow or Licentiate ) according to your musical experience. After an award has been granted members may wear the appropriate guild academic dress for their award and use the postnominals FGGRM for Fellows, AFGGRM for Associate Fellows and LGGRM for Licentiates. Please don't hesitate to apply, we accept people of all denominations and sexualities including heterosexuals. Once your payment has been received, our decision will be communicated to you via the Membership Secretary. Please note that if your application is being made after 1st of July, it will be deemed to have paid for the following year’s subscription.
 
Payment can be made by Direct Debit, internet banking or PayPal. Payment is due on initial application and then annually on the date your application was accepted.
